Sasha Silver, Advisor

Sasha Silver has been focused on assessing investment opportunities and raising capital for real estate and broader real asset strategies for over a decade.  She is currently a Director in the Private Fund Group of Credit Suisse, based in London, where she leads the Real Estate origination and project management team in Europe. In this capacity Sasha works with experienced real estate managers to develop and scale their investment management platforms and to source private institutional capital for funds and joint ventures.  She also supports the Group in consideration of managers pursuing natural resource / real asset strategies such as timber and agriculture.  Sasha has been with Credit Suisse since 2001. Before joining the Private Fund Group she worked with Credit Suisse in its Investment Banking group, initially focused on the Global Industrials & Services sectors before moving to the Real Estate team in 2004, providing corporate finance and advisory services to a range of institutional, corporate and high net worth clients located across Europe and emerging markets.  Sasha's involvement with EKO is on a personal and voluntary basis only and independent of her position with Credit Suisse.

Sasha earned her MBA in 2001 from the Yale School of Management simultaneously with a Masters in Forestry from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where she was a Doris Duke Fellow. From 1996 to1998 she worked with the Center for Tropical Forest Science at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, focusing on corporate partnerships and financial oversight of a global field project network. Other previous positions include with The Nature Conservancy's Eco-Enterprises Fund at its inception in 1999 and the Woodland Park Zoological Society (Seattle, WA) from 1994 to 1995.  Sasha is currently an active council member of the Urban Land Institute.
